Meet the Juror - Sarah Dillon Gilmartin

Sarah Dillon Gilmartin is full time Faculty at Green River Community College in the Fine Arts Division.  She holds an MFA in Painting from Boston University and a BA in Studio Art from the University of Puget Sound.  Sarah studies also took her abroad to Cork, Ireland.

Since the mid-nineties, Sarah Dillon Gilmartin has been showing her work extensively in group and solo exhibitions.   She wrote an article for City Arts Magazine, and has been the source of many publications including Nancy Guppy's Artzone, Seattle Weekly, Yakima Herald Republic and articles surrounding an exhibition A Politic in the Boston Globe.

Sarah’s paintings and mixed media drawings are placeholders; a relic of a moment gone by, expressive energy or application of the moment at hand or even the anticipation of a moment to come.  Some of the work explores clips of narrative or events, and some of the work simply pauses to document the weather forecast on a given day.

Sarah has been involved in various public art and gallery projects.  She has curated and juried many shows in and around the Seattle area.  To view more of Sarah Dillon Gilmartin's resume and see the body of her current work, please visit, click here
