1) Contestants must be within the age limit by March 27th.
2) Contestants must be a local resident within the greater Maple Valley area at the time of audition and finals.
3) Contestants must use a karaoke/instrumental track with no lead vocals (Background vocals are ok) or accompany themselves on an instrument.
4) Contestants must be available for the Finals April 24th 2-4pmPST
5) Contestants are not allowed to share the Zoom ID for the Auditions or Finals.
6) Most importantly, contestants MUST have fun and enjoy this exciting musical event!

Should you need to withdraw from the Auditions or Finals please notify jessijumper@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can fill your slot. Please Note: No refunds will be issued for cancellations or withdrawals. Thank you for your understanding.

Calling all local, solo singers ages 7-16 to audition on Saturday, March 27th for the 10th Annual Maple Valley Idol, Jr. Competition! Compete for the honor of being crowned the winner of MV Idol, Jr. 2021 and win cash prizes and performance opportunities throughout the year! Only the first 20 singers to pre-register will be auditioned. Each entrant must pre-register online at 
www.maplevalleyarts.com. A $25 non-refundable registration fee will hold your spot.

REGISTRATION OPENS @ 9AM ON FEBRUARY 27TH

Auditions will take place LIVE on Saturday, March 27th via a private Zoom Link emailed to you after registration. The auditions will take place from 10:00am – 2:00pm PST. Singers will audition with an MP3 karaoke/instrumental accompaniment track or accompany themselves on an instrument (no a cappella auditions or tracks with lead vocals will be accepted). Contestants will perform one song of their choice. No pre-recorded video/audio performances will be accepted. Judges will provide verbal feedback immediately following each audition. Finalists will be judged on natural singing ability, quality of performance, showmanship, and audience appeal.

 

A panel of three professional judges will select the top 10 contestants to advance to the LIVE Finals on Saturday, April 24th via a closed Zoom session from 2pm-4pm PST. Our three Judges will then take a day or two to select the top three winners.

The Finals will be recorded and broadcasted via YouTube the week of April 26th-30th. Audience members will then have the opportunity to vote for their favorite and select the “Audience Choice Winner.” 

The top four winners will be announced on social media on Saturday, May 1st at 10am in a live broadcast from the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center.

Ericka Corban: Ericka and her husband Mattaniah traded in their dream home in Aberdeen, WA this past year for the opportunity to travel the country with their five young children, making music inspired by God and the beauty of America.  Ericka's music is influenced by her love for folk, pop and the country music she grew up listening to. Ericka’s songs have been used in Indie Films, Starbucks global playlist. Zan Fiskum: Maple Valley raised, singer/songwriter Zan Fiskum uses her haunting and beautifully controlled singing to craft ethereal and brooding folk/pop songs. She made her national debut as a Top 9 Finalist on Season 18 of The Voice. Zan wrote and released six Christian singles and frequently performs on the worship team at her church. Camden West: Pop/Folk/Rock recording artist Camden West is currently working on his third studio recorded body of work. As a classically trained blues style guitar player, he writes music that is inspired by his life, the life of others around him, and world events. Based in Las Vegas, Camden has performed numerous shows building up a following while sharing and spreading his vision of hope, peace and love through his music and lyric imagery.
