The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council & Poppy's Purse Present THE INK THAT MATTERS Saturday, March 19, 2022 8:00-9:00 PM
Written and directed by John Ruoff
Best selling novelist Aldon Haywood (Michael Byron Ingersoll) retreats to a remote mountain cabin to overcome writer’s block and avoid distractions with his long suffering editor and ex-wife Greg Donahoe (Maureen Hawkins) who is primarily there to reflect on her current unstable marriage. When an unexpected journalist Mireille Fontaine (Jane Lynch Martin) arrives with an eccentric cab driver and former beat poet Deacon Wolf (Dean T. Moody) to interview the famous novelist, underlined passages from one of Haywood's earlier bestsellers about an extramarital affair in France become clues to the unexpected suicide of the journalist’s sister. The ink that matters.
Featuring Michael Byron Ingersoll, Maureen Hawkins, Jane Lynch Martin, and Dean T. Moody with Zoomography by Lindsey Dabek and music performed by Bob Blumenthal including "It's Going to Be Perfect" written By Benet Fleck and John Ruoff. Tickets are only $10 and all proceeds benefit TWO great local Arts organizations. A link for the performance will be included in your event registration confirmation and 3/15 & 3/18 event reminders.
