MEET LAST YEAR'S WINNER...

GENI AMADOR’s family recognized her potential at an early age and actively encouraged her to express herself musically. She sang constantly around the house. Her stepfather, also a musician, gave her a guitar which hung on the wall untouched for several years before she finally took it down and (somewhat reluctantly) taught herself to play. Something finally clicked. As it was with figure skating (she was a national champion in 2019 bringing 3 gold medals home for 3 different categories), bicycle riding and most activities she decided to pursue, Geni excelled immediately. A native Washingtonian, you'll now rarely find her without an instrument in her hands. She's also a straight A student, a devoted sister, and a full-time comedienne around the house.

MEET THIS YEAR'S JUDGES:

For any of you that have seen Chrissy Alexander perform, know without a hitch, that she loves what she does. After years of hard work and learning a few tricks of the trade, Chrissy knows exactly where she is meant to be, on stage. If it’s playing local clubs and honky-tonks or writing new material, her passion to strive through the sound of today’s “Country” has a huge influence in her songwriting. During her session with Jerry “Jigger” Bridges of Waymore’s Outlaws, she sat down with Jigger with nothing but a guitar and hammered out nothing but pure country. Her musical influences are Chris LeDoux, Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter, Clint Black, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Willie, Patsy Cline, Travis Tritt, Dolly Parton, George Strait and all the great ones that have come and gone.

Brian Haifley is a classically trained performer who is almost always singing, to the intense vexation of his wife and neighbors. A western Washington native, Brian inherited a love of music from his mother and father (both talented opera singers) and spent his early life performing in church choirs. Eventually going on to sing in a touring ensemble and choir during his time at Trinity Lutheran College. Since then, Brian has performed at weddings and other local events, sharing his passion and blowing the doors off of local karaoke watering holes. Brian recently moved to the San Juan Islands with his wife and daughter.

Mezzo Soprano, Rachel Olson is excited to be part of the M Idol Jr. Program! She sang wit the Chicago Symphony Chorus for the past 13 years at Chicago’s Symphony Hall, Ravinia Festival, and NYC’s Carnegie Hall.
