In other exciting news, we treated our local community to Poppy's Purse Production – The Big Production of 1977, written and directed by John Ruoff, which turned out to be a highly entertaining shows. The gang had a blast and so did our audience! Thank you to all who attended.

Continuing on this theme, we are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for local youth (Grades 6-12) and adult writers! We're inviting submissions for our upcoming Playwrights Festival in November 2024
The play length must be between 10 to 12 minutes maximum. Eight finalists will be chosen, and their plays will be showcased at the prestigious Maple Valley Creative Arts Center this fall. More details are available at the links below.

Moreover, we're eagerly gearing up for our Spring ArtWalk on March 13, starting at 6:00 p.m. We invite you all to be a part of it and show your support for our amazingly talented MVCAC member artists, who have poured their hearts and souls into their artworks.

Among these creative forces are Tatiana Beers, Sharon Bethune, Janairie Capps, Doris Connor, Tami Donnelly, Kurt Erickson, Mariah Jane Farris, Lori Kay Isop, Sarah Jolk, Kristine Nicholson, Carrie Whitehouse and Nancy Ziegler, who we are sure will enchant you with their artistic prowess.

Mark your calendars and grab your hunting licenses for our most anticipated annual event -- SLUG HUNT set to take place April 27 at 10 a.m.

Note we have a location change this year!
The location for our hunt will take place at the Legacy site (the location where the MV Farmers Market is held and across the street from Rock Creek Elementary).

Purchasing a slug hunting license ahead of time will allow the event to kick off promptly. Registration and details can be found on the event page.
In our quest to understand and enhance member engagement, we have constructed a SURVEY consisting of 10 questions. We truly hope that you can find the time to fill this out to help us in our mission to serve you and our community better. There are two $25.00 gift cards to Java Java waiting to be drawn once we have enough participation in the survey.  Click here to take our survey today!

Lastly, we would love to see more of our members at our upcoming General Membership meeting on March 21 at 6:00 p.m. where we will provide an update on all the exciting plans and projects we're gearing up to launch in the following months.

We hope to see you there!
