*If your child is selected to be a finalists, he/she will be REQUIRED to attend a 2-hour rehearsal to learn the opening group ensemble Saturday, March 28th from 10am-12pm.

If you are unable to attend this mandatory rehearsal, please DO NOT sign up to audition.
Cancellation Policy:
All registrations are final and non refundable. Should your child not be able to participate for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible so we can fill the audition or final slot with someone on our waitlist.

About this event



Calling all solo singers ages 7-15 to audition on Saturday, February 29th, for the 2020 Maple Valley Idol, Jr. Contest! Registration will open February 8th at 9am! Only the first 20 singers to register will be auditioned.

A $25 non-refundable registration fee will be due upon registration. Auditions will take place at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center from 10:00a.m. – 2:00p.m. Singers are allowed to audition with an MP3 karaoke/instrumental accompaniment track (No iPods, CDs, or MP3 players please.) Please send your tracks to our Sound Technician, Ken Fox (slothFILMS@comcast.net) no later than February 22nd. Contestants can also accompany themselves on an instrument of their choice. No outside accompanists will be allowed. Contestants will perform one song of their choice. Judges will provide verbal feedback immediately following each audition.

 

Our panel of three professional judges will select the top 12 contestants to compete in the finals at the Tahoma Elementary School Auditorium, Saturday, April 18th @ 7pm. Finalists will be judged on natural talent, quality of performance, and showmanship.

At the finals, our judges will select the top three winners.* Audience members will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite and crown the “Audience Choice Winner.”

NEW: Due to the rising costs of renting TES auditorium, if you are selected as a finalist, there will be an additional $25 fee.

In the event that the auditions fill up and your child was not able to sign up. Please please email jessijumper@gmail.com to get them on the waitlist ASAP. We often can accommodate one or two students from our waitlist for our auditions.
