The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council invites artists and artisans to apply for our 2026 Juried Art Show & Festival.

This annual celebration features both juried and salon-style exhibitions, highlighting outstanding adult and youth artists across a wide range of mediums. From fine art to fine craft, we welcome distinctive, high-quality work to share with our vibrant community.

GENERAL ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

(Applies to 2D, Photography, 3D, Artisan Work, and Miniatures)

Display & Presentation

• All artwork must be gallery-ready for display
• No saw-tooth hangers
• Proper hanging wire is required on framed work
• No ceiling-hung artwork permitted

Eligibility Criteria (All Categories)

• Entries must be original and entirely the work of the applicant
• Work for the Juried Art Show must have been created within the past two years
• Work must not have been previously entered in the Maple Valley Days Arts Festival
• Refunds will not be granted for applicants not in compliance

TEXTILE & FIBER ART FEATURE

(Separate Featured Category)

We are expanding our textile presence within the festival and welcome artists of all skill levels.

• Wearable art and apparel

Accepted Techniques

Open to work made with fiber or fiber techniques, including (but not limited to):

• Quilting
  
• Sewing
  
• Knitting
  
• Crochet
  
• Weaving
  
• Spinning
  
• Felting
  
• Needle art
• Mixed media referencing fiber traditions

Textile Display Requirements

• Work must be ready to hang or install by the artesians on Thursday, June 12 from 1:00 - 6:00.
  
• All artisians will need to bring their own display materials. Or discuss with the program lead about specific needs, email us at mvcac@comcast.net.
  
• Framed textile work must include proper hanging wire.
  
• Textile artisians are responsible for providing any special display equipment needed (stands, racks, specialty supports, etc.).
  
• Artisians submitting wearable art or apparel are encouraged to provide display solutions if possible.
  
• MVCAC does not provide mannequins.
