There are several ways to support the arts in your community!

  • Join us for one of our monthly Membership Meetings — always the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center — to learn more and get involved. MVCAC membership is encouraged but not required.
  • Got a talent to share? Want to try something new? We’d love to hear from you. Join us and be part of something meaningful — our community makes it all possible.

Help needed: Our annual fundraiser takes place at the Legacy site (where the Maple Valley Farmers Market is located) on April 25 at 10 a.m. 

 

We have positions that help with hiding tokens in the woods, checking in pre-registered people, help directing people, concessions, and watching over the slugs as people return with a token to trade for a slug.

ARTS FESTIVAL - click here to go to the sign up registration 

Help needed: Arts Festival is held June 10-14, 2026. It is an event where the public will be able to visit the Lake Wilderness Lodge to view art and listen to musicians.

 

We have positions that help with greeting and collecting art from the artists, hanging art and staging materials for the artwork prior to the event, then we have positions available to assist with greeting guests as they come in throughout Saturday and Sunday.

 

Lastly, we need assistance in breaking down the event and taking the equipment to the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center Sunday evening. Please click the link to see what dates, times and activities are available.

MV IDOL, JR - click here to go to the sign up registration 

Help needed: Maple Valley Idol, Jr. is one of our annual signature programs. This event features young and teen singing stars who go head-to-head in the grand finale final round event, which is on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Tahoma High School, Performing Arts Center. 

We have positions that help with greeting, directing folks as they enter the facility, help with intermission activities such as collecting ballots for the Peoples Choice awards, helping with the concession stand and walking through the lobby to let folks know its time to take a seat.

Concerts at the Arboretum - click here to go to the sign up registration


Help needed: Every Tuesday, beginning July 7 through Sept. 8, we sponsor a summer concert in the park - Lake Wilderness Arboretum. This one-hour event is free to those in the Maple Valley community to enjoy.


We need help setting up music equipment and chairs for the singer and the attendees. The work is light duty.

Paint by Tunnel Mural Maintenance - Click here to go to the sign up registration

Help needed: maintain and improve the existing 4 murals along the Cedar River trail that the MVCAC has created over the past several years. No fine art skills are necessary however this is more aimed at teens to adults. Volunteer opportunities start in early Summer and end in early Fall to get updates on volunteer days simple join the Facebook group: Maple Valley Mural Volunteers
