Celebrating June – A Month in Review!

The arts bring us closer together—as both creators and witnesses of beauty in various forms, they move us and remind us of what binds us as humans on this journey called life. Here at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council, we understand how powerful art can be — it brings real value not just into our own lives but also into the lives of those around us.  That is why we work passionately to create opportunities for local artists and musicians where everyone has access - whether young or old, wealthy or not - because ultimately creating is what makes humankind so extraordinary and unique!

Art Fest 2023 Wrap-Up

We want to thank you for joining us and celebrating 25 years of Maple Valley Arts Fest! It was an incredible time, with over 1,800 members of our community coming together in celebration. Whether you were creating art by painting rocks with your little ones or simply admiring them on display, everyone had a great time learning about different types of art and enjoying performances put on by local artists in the Lodge and the Arboretum. Without your presence at this momentous occasion, none of this would have been possible. We are truly grateful for your participation!

Three Cheers to All!

We want to recognize and express our deep appreciation for EVERYONE who helped make this event a success. A special shout-out goes to MVCAC Board Members Ed Corrigan, Bryan Organ, Jackie Riedel, Shannon Brannon, Bronwyn Brestle, Krystin Lindstrom, and Robin McBride, and to our leader and organizer for this year's event, Board President Mary Jane Glaser!

A big thank you goes out to this year's juror Richard Jahn, all our participating artists and performers - including the Maple Valley Idol, Jr. winners, Tahoma School District K-12 teachers who provided student art, Voice in the Valley, Rachel Olson, and our sponsors/partners: 4Culture, City of Maple Valley, Lake Wilderness Lodge staff, King County, Dana & Ankie Parnello, Flynn Development, Wilderness Business Park, Voice In The Valley, Haeger Orthodontics, Lake Wilderness Arboretum, Murals By Jaqueline, Edward Jones, The Norcliffe Foundation, ArtsWA (Washington State Arts Commission), Arts Fund, Washington State Department of Commerce, and the National Endowment of the Arts.
