Subject: MVCAC's November Spotlight
From: The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council

Join us this November for a month of camaraderie, support, and virtual creativity!

Hello there,

Isn't it hard to believe we're already in November? As we look back over the past year, we can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the generous outpouring of your support. It's because of you that we've been able to continue doing what we do best, creating events that connect and inspire our community.

With that said, we're excited to wrap November up in style by inviting you to a series of special events designed just for you! It all kicks off with our signature fundraising event, Merriment, on November 3rd. We promise an evening filled with joy, laughter, and goodwill.

Next up, mark your calendars for "Trinity," a captivating theatrical experience penned and directed by the brilliant Ed Corrigan. The curtain rises on the weekends of November 10-11 and 17-18, so be sure not to miss out!

Then, on November 19th, we're hosting a Virtual Golden Event: "Acrylic, Mediums & Gels." Perfect for the art enthusiasts among you, this event promises to be a delightful dive into the world of acrylic painting.

Lastly, we're closing the month with an Open Mic Night on November 30th. This is your chance to shine, share your talents, and bask in the spotlight!

We can't wait for you to join us at these events. It's not just about the activities, it's about coming together as a community and celebrating what we've achieved, even in challenging times.

Please find more details on each event below.

We look forward to seeing you and sharing these memorable November nights together.

With gratitude,

The Maple Valley Creative Council

Instructor, Barbara De Pirro will host this free event Nov. 19 via a zoom meeting. This event focuses on Golden's vast array of Acrylic mediums and gels. Gain a broad understanding of each product and the unique qualities each offers.

The instructor will share how they can be used to modify paints (changing the sheen, viscosity, drying time, texture, etc.), as a glue for collages, for image transfers, to create encaustic effects or just to build up translucent layers within your artwork. All of these products can be applied to a range of substrates such as paper, canvas, or wood panels. And so much more.

The instructor will share several samples, and techniques and answer questions during the event. A class summary and images will be provided afterward so that artists can continue their exploration independently.

Attendees (US/Canada) will have the opportunity to request free product samples (FYI shipped after the event). More details will be sent upon registration.
