Time does fly! Here we are stepping into May and we are still reminiscing about the fantastic time we all had at our annual Slug Hunt fundraiser in April. It seems like just yesterday we were laughing, cheering, and making unforgettable memories.
Despite a bit of rain, the event was a huge success with hundreds of enthusiastic kids and adults joining in on the fun. The legacy site was buzzing with excitement as everyone hunted high and low for those elusive slug tokens. The joy and smiles we saw that day truly warmed our hearts.
We owe a massive thank you to Bronwyn Brestle and Jennifer McPherson! Without their tireless efforts in organizing the event and creating and painting the 500 slugs, this wouldn't have been possible. Their hard work truly paid off and we can't thank them enough.

We're hitting a high note – our much-awaited Maple Valley Idol, Jr. grand finale is just around the corner! On May 17, we'll gather at Tahoma Elementary School to cheer on the 14 talented singers who have been practicing tirelessly for the big day.
We owe our success to our music-loving community – and we’re counting on you to be there to support our young singers! Tickets are up for grabs; you can either order online or purchase them at the event. Save the date and let's make our rising stars shine brighter!
| | Calling all Artists - Arts Fest is right around the corner!
How about taking your love for arts a step further? Maple Valley Days - Arts Fest, our annual festival of creativity is happening from June 7-9. This is your chance to showcase your talent! Painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists - all artists are welcome.
| | |  | | MVCAC is rolling out an exciting invitation to aspiring playwrights in our community just like you or someone you may know. We're seeking out fresh, local talent, specifically those in Grades 6 -12, as well as creative writing enthusiasts from our adult segment. It's the perfect platform for to show off your skills and share the magic hidden in your original plays.
But here's the best part - your masterpiece could be chosen for performance at our much-anticipated MVCAC Playwrights Festival, penciled in for this November. Think about it: your very own words echoing through the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center, leaving a lasting impact on an audience who’ve come to appreciate the efforts and creativity of artists like you.
